BUILDING DEPARTMENT FLEXIBILITY

Working with Kutzmann & Associates (KA) allows jurisdictions to respond to fluctuations in their workload without compromising the quality or timeliness of plan reviews.

Smaller jurisdictions can be assured a high quality of expertise without having their own engineer on staff.

Effective April 1, 2010 we are offering CASp certified services to jurisdictions needing to comply with SB1608 but that will not have their own in-house CASp certified staff by the July 1, 2010 deadline.

We can also provide temporary help while staff is on vacation or during the long hiring process.

Complete or partial plan checks are available.

COMPREHENSIVE

We review plans for compliance to architectural, structural, disabled access, energy, plumbing, mechanical and electrical provisions as adopted by the jurisdiction.

COST EFFECTIVE

Kutzmann & Associates will perform a complete plan check for a percentage of the fee charged by the city or county.  Fees can also be arranged on a time and material basis.  Clients pay only for the services needed.

THIRD PARTY PLAN CHECKS

Where permitted by the local jurisdiction, Kutzmann & Associates can provide third party plan check services directly to permit applicants as a means of expediting the review process.  Third party clients have enhanced access to their plan checkers and can be assured of quicker turn around times.  Call our office for details and rates.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Our only business is plan review and inspection, thereby avoiding any conflict of interest with design professionals.

QUALITY CONTROL

All letters are reviewed for accuracy before they are issued to assure a high-quality, consistent review.  We also stand behind our work and will resolve issues associated with our plan check services at no additional charge.
